    Hi I'm a "newbie" as they'd say and I hope I've put this under the right category!!

    Anyways....just wondering if there is anybody out there who's had a gastric band fitted? I'm looking for people to chat to who've had it done and is finding the process extremely difficult. I had it done about 2 1/2 years ago and I went the cheap (€10,000!!) route and had surgery in Belguim. However there is no support network to fall back on in Ireland and I feel I've been making a stab in the dark at things since!

    If you've had it done please let me know your experience or if you know of somebody who's had it done.

    Anyone have anything to share on the subject?:confused:

    Perhaps try the long term illness forum? I can't say Ive seen much posted on the subject in this forum, and it strikes me as something that would naturally end up there.
