I have one of these that has a faulty input jack on the MB, I looked up EBay and saw that these components can be bought seperatly however I wouldnt have the steady hands to solder it.

Is there anyone about recommended that has repaired this problem successfully without having to replace the complete MB?

The laptop is a Celeron so it is not worth spending too much on it.

    Cheers,

I repaired my Dell with the same problem, luckily for me the pins had just broken free from the mother board and I didn't need to fit a new socket, just re-solder it.
