    Hi guys,

Just looking for a little advice.

I have recently purchased treadmill and between exercise bike & treadmill Im doing cardio of 3-8km each evening. I was reading through forum and seen several posts re: using weights to burn more calories and was thinking of getting some dumbells to also incorporate into evening workout.

I dont have a lot of space so was looking at something like http://www.mcsport.ie/bodymax-cast-hex-dumbells/p-powwtfd0040pd.aspx

In recent weeks I have taken a lot of advice from this forum..adjusted diet using calorie counter , regular exercise and though its still early days, I am starting to see some results.

My main goal is weight loss. I am 30yrs old and male.

Any suggestions for incorporating a little weight training? I have never really used weights before so looking for a starting point and any advice is welcome.

    Thanks in advance..

    Hi There

Firstly welcome to the forum, you will get lots of solid advice and motivation on here.

On your weights workout and seeing as you say you don't have a lot of space, I think 1 or 2 kettlebells (KB's) might be more beneficial tbh. Very handy to store ;)

There are a number of places around Dublin where you can pick them up. I like the KB's from Buy Kettlebells Dublin

I would say maybe pick up a 12kg and a 16kg to start off with. Then have a look on YouTube for some exercise ideas. The video below shows one of my favourites and this would help you in your goal to cut body fat.

Just something else to condsider ;)

get a kettlbell (two would be better) , a good mat, a skipping rope, a foam roll (the grid is best) some decent instruction and you are set to go!!
