Most of what I have learned is from this site

    www.leangains.com

Leangains and "eat, stop, eat" seem to be the main sources of peoples information on the subject. Tried it twice myself (only 20 hour stints). Worked ok. I wouldn't use it as a sole means of losing weight, but it's another weapon in the arsenal I suppose.

I read most of the articles on the leangains site. It's not a miracle worker, all it does is it enables you to adhere to the diet more easily. You still have to eat less to lose weight. Some people (including me) find eating at a deficit much easier if they start eating later in the day (1pm instead of 9-10 am with breakfast).

Hunger is mostly psychological, there's no real need to eat 6+ meals a day, once every 2 to 3 hours. Once I got over this fact, I started appreciating the benefits of an empty stomach in the morning :)
