Skin Care Advice Please!

    Hello Ladies

I am heading towards the big Three-0 and I think my skin care needs a bit of an overhaul. I've never really looked after my skin properly, flitting from brand to brand over the years (usually whatever's cheapest or on offer) and I'm a bit of a cleansing wipe girl I'm afraid....

However, now that I'm getting a bit older my skin is not playing ball anymore. I've got severe combination skin which means my T-Zone is like an oil slick but the rest is super dry. In addition I've very clogged skin with really visible pores and blackheads on my nose and chin. Recently I've also got these rotten dark spots on the sides of my nose too  - not to mention the fact that I'm getting to the age where the wrinkles are going to start rearing their ugly heads

I'm happy to pay a few bob for something that I know is going to work, however I'm a bit nervous bercause a few months ago I bought some Dermalogica stuff which was a disaster - ended up breaking our in an angry rash all over my face (I've never had sensitive skin) so I'm kinda afraid to go spending a fortune on something else incase it has the same effect

The mother-in-law swears by Liz Earle so i'm considering giving that a go. I'm also thinking about Clarins... What does everyone think? What's the best plan of action to give yourself a full overhaul??

    Thanks :)

I've been using Clarins for about 7 years now and find it great. I change moisturisers during the year - heavier one in the winter, lighter one in the summer. The people working at Clarins counters are usually fairly good about giving samples so you can try out the products. I love their moisturising eye mask it's great for when I get little dehydration lines under my eyes.
