Ok so I had originally red hair, dyed it a very bright red colour for a few months and I decided to go brown,I used clairol nice n' easy natural medium golden brown. Was about half way through my hair and it ran out,so i proceeded as normal and got someone to buy me another packet, did it again from scratch. So it is now almost black, but in the light looks red, what should i do to get rid of the red tones? was it a mistake to dye it or should i dye it again with lighter brown/same colour?? Thanks so much for help!

I did the exact same thing 2 months ago, I had natural red hair all the natural blonde highlights went terribly with the red hair dye, so put a chocolate colour over it. Dying it a lighter brown prob won't work, your gonna have to get it stripped in the hairdressers, I've had it done before and will have to re do it again now. The less dye on your hair the better so best to go to the hairdresser now rather then waiting.

The only thing is it can be so expensive, cost me over 300e last time, I had jet black hair and about 3 years of bottle dye in my hair, so was a big job.

Even though your hair looks practically black don't ever dye it black, it's a million times harder to get off!

go to Boots and buy Colour B4, extra strength
its not bad on your hair and takes out any permanent or semi-permanent dyes.
absolute life saver, ive used it and i had been dying my hair for 15 years!!
about 13euro-use it before you do or go anywhere else
