Tuning T.V.

    Hi everyone.
    I have a Sanyo CE32LD81-B/UK television.
It tunes the digital T.V. stations fine. We live near the border, Co. Leitrim and can pick up "freeview" channels from the north. We can also hear the the various Irish channels but not to view. (mpeg2 only)
When I come to automatically tune for analogue stations, nothing, sweet F.A.
The TV prompts me for my country, which I select then it does a scan from 60mhz to about 880Mhz. Zero.
I brought an old portable T.V. down from the attic and plugged the aeriel lead. RTE no problem.
I know we are losing analogue but I would like to do away with sky.

Any info and/or advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks for your time.

Sounds unusual. The only thing I can think of is that the component of the tuner that feed into displaying analogue pictures is faulty. If you set the television to Ireland in the tuning menu, try setting it to UK and see if that works.

If the TV is still under warranty, it'd get it checked out.

Saw a TV a couple of years ago (think it was a Hannspree) that had seperate aerial inputs for analogue & digital.
    Not familiar with Sanyo.
Can channel nos. be entered manually?

Try setting the country to France. This worked for a tevion tv which did not find the analogue stations when set to U.K and did not have an Ireland setting.

Page 19 of the manual.. You have to switch the source from dtt to tv.

    think that will do it.
