Does anyone else think these are an eyesore and take much away from the charm of the street? (these things, obviously this particular picture isn't from Dublin)

They're very in your face especially when they're at every junction. I know it's beneficial for shops off the street to encourage pedestrians down their streets, but this it makes the entire place look quite gaudy in my opinion. If I were a tourist visiting it'd definitely effect my perception of the city.
