Keyring Bottle Opener Design

    This is probably a stupid question but could anyone tell me what the little slit out of the top of this bottle opener is used for? I have a few and most have this part, but I dont know what its used for.

    Don't actually know for sure ....

    ... but I'd guess ring pulls on cans (so you don't damage your nail varnish ;):p )
