EPL Match Betting Challenge (Week 7) - Wigan vs Wolves

Close poll this week excluding poor ol Sociedad - Espanyol :pac:

    Early KO once again.

    * The match is live on Sky Sports 2(I think) and kick off is at 12.45PM tomorrow.

Wigan are up their with the oddest teams in the league. They pull off results out of nowhere like away to Spurs earlier this season(last season as well) and then go on to draw at home against Sunderland at home(no disrespect to S'land, but compared to Spurs... ya know. Sunderland are fairly poor away to home *no need to point to the LFC game :(*). Their last 5 results show how inconsistent they are with 2 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. 2 goals in 5 league games says it all.

Wolves are another strange team. 3 draws and 2 losses, but despite of that they've scored in every league game so far this season. How many you ask? 1. 1 goal per a league game. Only vs Notts did they score a more than a single goal(4 actually) in the Carling Cup.

    Betting on W/D/L in general:

    Wigan - @ 5/4
    Draw - @ 9/4
    Wolves - @ 9/4

For the odds of all the bookies, see the link:
    http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/wigan-v-wolverhampton/winner

This game has one standout bet when taking everything into consideration, under 2.5 @ 4/6 *so expect thrilling 4-4 :D *. Not great odds I know but logical sense points to unders. At a push, I'd go with Wolves and/or draw.

    Good luck all:)

This match has draw written all over it, 9/4 looks very good

If its value your after, i think wolves at this price is worth a punt. 2 odd teams when it comes to form alrite, either could win IMO like flipping a coin, if I was having a bet it would be on wolves and Doyle

Edit: Wolves DNB @ 5/4 looks quite tempting

I've got 1.5pts myself on a Wolves win. Really hard one to call

Personally I quite fancy Wigan to win to nil here at 13/5. Wolves have been struggling so far this season while Wigan have looked relatively solid considering their tough opening fixtures. More than anything else their defense has looked quite decent. Would have been tempted by the Wigan win alone but at 5/4 it looks a bit too short considering their unpredictability. Tough one but still no decided between the two.

    +2.5 goals I see a 2-2 draw.

Henry just got sent off, straight red. Was looking at backing him to be booked before the game, but didn't in the end. I presume if i backed him to be booked and he gets a straight red, i get nothing back? Would have been a sickener!

    Grr.

I had a look at the booking market literally minutes before KO. He was favourite to be booked at 13/10.

    Oh well.

Yeah, bit better odds and I probably would have backed him.

quality free kick from gomez! wign 1 up, went for wigan and unders in my preview but stayed away from what are fairly schizophrenic teams!

wigan have kept posession well since taking the lead, looking for their first home win of the season!
