Merida vs Trek

    Any bike experts out there...

    Looking to get a new bike.

    Local bike shop recommended a Merida 91 over the Trek 1.2. Anyone have any opinion on Merida vs Trek or vs Giant.

    Merida seems to be a better spec then the Trek, and is also physically lighter.

    I would suggest trek, simply due their reliability and easier to resell to be honest.

    I've never owned a Trek but I do have a Merida and I love it. Some friends have Trek bikes and have never had any issues with them.

    Personally, I'd go with the higher spec regardless of brand.
