I know I keep saying it, but Rover 75 diesel? There was one on the free ads in Cork a while back for 1800 Euro, with 80k miles. Plus, as funds dictate, you can upgrade it inexpensively, leather interiors are going for a few hundred Euro for them now.

AFAIK, The car has to be younger than 3 years when being first reg'd as a Taxi. So would that not rule out anything of that age.

Me too, I know they've had troubles but wouldn't anything that's a few years old have the glitches ironed out? Or are they really that bad?
(sorry never been near a Renault).

That's my understanding of it, taxi has to be no older than 3 years for a new plate ad 7 years for lads renewing plates

i.e. new taxi, '07 onwards, existing taxi, '03 onwards

A little over budget but might be worth looking at, its an auto and has a decent spec:

Decent and interesting isnt going to pay his bills what is, is cheap and reliable.

Car has to be 9 years or younger for exsisting licence holders.

we've found a Sonata for under it but i know feck all about them, good or bad??

Very reliable, very comfy, lots of space, look fairly awful though. They're as good as the old Carina though reliability wise.
