Im going to the open day tomorrow and Id be very grateful if you could answer a few questions:)

The open day starts at 9 but because of buses theres not a hope of us been there at 9. More than likely round 11.
will that be a problem? do I have to be there for 9?

I just went on NUIG website and theres a section about registering for the open day. Whats this all about? Do I have to do this? My career guidance teacher never mention this to me:/

Thanks for your help in advance:)

Hi James, well, it's been 2 years since I was up for open day, but I can't imagine much has changed.
9 is probably the time the first taster lecture takes place, hopefully you'll be there in time to get to the ones you want. Go to as many as possible in the different subjects you're interested in. :)
I don't remember any mention about registering the time we were going over..are you going as part of a class group on your own?

Hey, thanks for the reply and the info:)

Well I'm just going with a few friends. Not on my own or with a class:)

    No problem. :)
Ah right, well I wouldn't say registration is all that important, like, I'd say it's just for the b enefit college themselves to get an estimate on numbers and whatnot, hardly the end of the world if you don't.

Hope you enjoy the day and that it lives up to your expectations. :)

Apparently the goodie bags are meant to be good this year...

and it's not like if you show up at 11 everything will be over :)

Ignore the building work thats going on, honestly, it really doesn't have any effect on studying or being in the college.

    Check out this link: http://www.nuigalway.ie/about-us/open-days/

On the right-hand side click on the Open Day Programme and it'll give you the schedule of events for tomorrow and Saturday.

Most lectures are repeated at least once during the day so you'll more than likely be able to make plenty of them if you know where and when they are.

Aside from the distracting noise in some of the lecture halls :p

And yes, embrace the free stuff ;)

Nope, all there was, was a bookmark, a nuig book with the courses, a course points list and a map/open day leaflet. And a bag for it all. BTW "Goodies" = sweets don't they? Where's my sweets?
