apps running in background

    i have an ipod and am using 4.1 software. i was just wondering how do i check if there is apps running in the background or can I? thanks

    not so much as running in the background, but some of them do.
    like when i have my sat nav closed down, it continues to use location services and updates your position etc and io believe skype does too.

    anyway, double press the home buttin and that should bring up a list of most recent apps used then you hold down on one of them and delete as normal.

    whenever i double press the home button it brings me to the search screen, maybe i just dont have any apps that run in the background

    Unless you have a 3G or 4G iPod Touch, you don't have multitasking.
