So I'm in Uni,up in UL and I've been planning to use the universitys Gym to help me get back into shape.

I'm 6'2 and with the LC and such I've gone up too 13 stone,so I've bit of a belly growing,so much so I can feel my arm pits starting to devlop flaps.

My plan was to go jogging/running 2-3 times a week, use the gym and kayak once a week as well.

Pretty much I'm looking for a bit of advice on my mundane schdule and what I should be doing in the gym, infact any bit of help would be nice really.

I'm mostly going for loosing atleast a stone, but I'd like to gain a bit of muscle and strenght the bones before its too late.Until about 16 I was a pretyt good long distance runner, but beyond that I've had virtually no fitness, maybe the odd Jog but thats it really.

Thanks for any help :D((Sorry for the spelling and such as well heh))

Get yourself over/under/below an Olympic bar and start following Mark Rippetoes Starting Strength, Stronglifts or some program based around compound exercises utilising the Barbell.

Compound exercises (ones that use more than 1 muscle group) FTW as they use more muscles, burn more calories etc. etc.
