EPSRC Funding for PhD

Hoping i can get some help on here. So I am after responding to PhD advert based in the UK and have done my interview and all that. I have been 'offered' the position within the PhD studentship which is great.

The only issue is that they are now after informing me that as I am Irish and have not been a resident in the UK for the last 3 years I won't be able to get any funding, which obviously when looking to move to London for 3 years is a bit of a pain.

Anyone have any suggestion or ways around the funding issues I am having with the EPSRC? Anything at all at all like.......I am getting no help from any Dept at UCL that I've contacted and have until tomorrow afternoon to clarify my funding.

It sounds like you're just not eligible for this fellowship tbh, in the same way non residents in Ireland aren't eligible for fellowships here without having lived here 3 years. Sorry. You could try contacting the department you applied to to see if there's any way around this.
