Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey all, can anyone help.. stanley superstar (think its 90) which is oil, and heats the water, has not been in use for a god few months, just got a tank of oil.... have no instructions and cant find anything on line, would be loathe to call a plumber etc. as I am sure it is simple(????)... so, press the button in the bottom section to fire it up, hold it for 28 seconds, it sounds like it fires but clicks out after ten or so seconds....
Tried switching pump off, then trying the button, switching knobs to idle etc....

This happened last year, guy took four screws off bottom section and then did something then it fired up... wondering if anyone can help anyway as the whole family of us are freezing and just dont have the quids to call someone in... many thanks in advance.. xxx

sounds like the oil going to the burner is air locked..
you will have to losen the nut where the oil line goes into the burner to release the air. when to see the oil flowing or dripping then tighten the key again and press the red button and say a prayer.

if it sounds like its fireing and staying lit for 10 secs it sounds like you need a new jet in the burner but i would try bleeding the oil as roy said first.
