Reckon Valencia will get a result here.

    1-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,584 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Berba up front on his own makes for a boring time. If Nani and Fletcher take some attacking responsibility well enough United could win but I'm not optimistic. 1-1 draw

Just watching Eamo give his expert opinion on Valecnia "they don't score many goals Bill"
cue 0-4 win away in Turkey. They have scored as many as Barca this season. I'll go for a 1-1 draw that said.

United almost 2/1 for this, big price.

Valencia going well though and should score at least once against united's shakey defence.

    Going for 2-2.

If Utd defense doesn't cop on, they'll lose at the Mestalla, otherwise I reckon they'll win.

Best starting 11 from the players available imo. I'm confident.

I'd take a draw now, as a United fan.

    Not very confident at all.

    feel the same.

Two midfielders that can't be fully match fit, a right back who has barely featured this season, a winger who is fairly poor on the wing and a lone striker that doesn't suit the role.

Not enough of a goal threat from midfield to support Berbatov enough - massive responsibility on Nani tonight imo.

Really weird bench - 3 strikers when we are only starting with one up top.

    Valencia win imo

That team should be enough to win the game. Hopefully we see some of chicharito and macheda.

We heard the "that team should be enough to win the game" against Rangers and look what happened there. Valencia are streets ahead of Rangers.

Not confident, I can see Utd losing this 1-0. :(

    So, 0-3 united!!

Looking forward to watching this :)

(I'm blissfully ignoring that awful sense of foreboding that's been building since the Rangers game :o )

    Valencia will pump United.

I have Nani backed to score first.

Also backed both teams to score.

Well this time we have arguably our strongest back 5, and the rest of our strongest available players. We usually seem to perform better against better teams in the champions league, and the fear of chicharito on the bench, should be enough.

    Valencia a snip at 13/8 imo :(

I'm surprised to see Carrick starting tonight, injured and lack of football against a Valencia team who are playing well and with confidence.

I was looking forward to seeing Banega play tonight, does anyone know if he is injured or just left out?

Hahaha, Nani is such an embarassment.

Utd 1 win in 18 ties in Spain.

    A 0-0 at 7/1 has tempted me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭CR 7

That was hilarious. Nani is a diving cheating toerag who sometimes produces the goods. Whereas at least ronaldo sometimes did some good things when he wasn't diving and cheating.

Bit harsh on Ronaldo but an apt summary.

Halloween just around the corner as Bela Lugosi and the zombie Michael Jackson line up for united :)

Vidic has the armband with Rio on the pitch, that clears that up (for me)

People seem to forget how bad ronaldo was in his first two seasons

I hope Carrick doesnt get lost in the game - worried a bit about raph too

Raphael will need a lot of help. I can see Valencia putting him under pressure early.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,339 ✭✭✭me-skywalker

Ferdiands 1st pass to Rafael was verrry slack!!

Commentator on RTE talking about Emery like this is his first season at Valencia.

    Have a draw on this.

I think Edwin will have a tough evening tonight. Might need to produce some top saves to get out with a draw. Not confident.

Very slow passing by United. Should be firign the ball to each other with pace. Look bit edgy.

There's a hell of a lot of empty seats there.

There was a general strike in spain today. An estimated 10million workers. Transport got hit.

Those Kappa jersey's aren't the best for playing in by the looks of it. They're lovely kits and all, but by about ten minutes in they seem to be all drenched in sweat. I remember the same thing happening at Fulham and them complaining about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,339 ✭✭✭me-skywalker

Parks tactical role in this game is very interesting so far. He's doing his usual work-rate up and down the line but he seems to be very central.

Anderson and Fletcher dove-tailig well so far, one forward one back, switching roles. Can see one of them scoring.

I wouldn't mind seeing a ladies football game in those shirts. :D

Valencia manager is the spit of Christopher Lee in the hammer films...if him and Berbatov lock eyes there'll be f*cking carnage.

United not good at all imo. Dreadful play. Hopefully it picks up.

The Valencia left back has to have relations in Dundalk.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Valencia are a team made for Peter Crouch. They're putting great cross after great cross into the box and there's no-one there.

Nani and Park should switch wings imo
