School Holidays 2011/2012

Hi

I know it's far in advance but my sister is trying to organise her wedding for next year and I'm wondering does anyone know when the October mid term break will fall in 2001/2012? As far as I know the Dept of Ed hasn't released the dates yet.

I'm confused, as the bank holiday is the 31st so would the mid term break fall on the 24th-28th of October or 31st-4th of November?

The last year the 31st fell on a Monday was 2005, I've tried searching for information relating to 2005 assuming it will be the same but to no avail.

No idea but as schools are always closed on the bank holiday of the mid-term break I'd assume it'll be 31st - 4th Nov.

Otherwise, if from 24th - 28th Oct. then schools would be closed for a week & due back on 31st Oct. but this would be a bank holiday so they would have to remain closed.

I would go with 31st - 4th. Schools are not going to be given a week off and then an extra day for the bank holiday. The holidays usually fall the week starting bank holiday Monday so that should be the 31st.
