Do they operate under Irish law or French law?

    Thanks.

A law unto themselves most of the time, unfortunately......

I doubt if it matters what law they operate under...I bought an IP phone off Pixmania.ie. I received the phone, but it was all in german....phone settings, the documentation, packaging etc. I wrote to Pixmania to say that I would have expected the english model since I had bought it on Pixmania.ie. They responded saying that they hadn't sold the phone to me, but that a german company had so it was nothing to do with them!!

I looked at the page I bought the phone on:

    http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/3780981/art/siemens-gigaset/handset-gigaset-c47-h.html

and there is a little message saying "Product sold by sotel". I don't know if this is common for a lot of their products but for this phone they lead people to believe they are buying the phone from them when actually it is coming from a separate company. So when buying off Pixmania you might be buying off a company in any country!

Thanks for the replies so far.

I take it no-one knows if they operate under French or Irish law?

    Thanks.

Op, in that case, you might want this rather than the normal route.

It's the link to the European Small Claims Court
