Chorus Analogue switchoff?

We currently have Chorus analogue. I'd love to get digital but the parents are stuck in their ways. Does anyone have any idea when Chorus are likely to switch off their analogue service? Will it probably be 2012? Or could it be longer!?!?

    It's UPC now.

It can be anytime UPC want. The Digital service is CHEAPER.

Actually the digital package that At The Races comes on for example is dearer than what we're paying now.

in the u.s they found a way around the switch over with a box receiver that lets them receive the new signal and still have there old tv.

They stood up for themselves and said no we will not buy a new tv.

you ONLY get UPC digital with a box and your own TV.

The Basic Digital package is cheaper and more channels than Analogue. Obviously the content is slightly different.

If you have MMDS then Sky PayTv or free Freesat is better.

I don't have an actual Freesat receiver.

I have a FTA receiver, an out of contract Sky Digital box with UK program guide (very simiilar to Freesat or Sat4free) and 5 PC satellite cards in 3 PCs.
