Guys, this is the thread where I'm compiling the list of names in the main thread and adding them here. We're running with 78 pics submitted and 2 reserved for Valentia and Muineach as a tribute to the guys.

Deadline:Ok we'll try and get the list of names done by the end of the week if possible but the deadline set for this will be Tuesday 5th October. Then you have a week to get your image sorted and submitted. I'm hoping to have an FTP server set up on my site and whoever is taking the design aspect can work from there.

Software to produce the publication: take from website
Availability in perpetuity for subsequent order: store for say one year
Delivery times from order to production to delivery on the doorstep: to be confirmed

To compare to what we had available to us from last year;

Blurb Book 2009 -

Standard Landscape - 10×8 inches

Softcover EUR €28,95 + €6 = €34.95
Hardcover, Dust Jacket EUR €39,95 + €6 shipping = €45,95
Hardcover, ImageWrap EUR €41,95 + €6 shipping = €47,95

€5 charitible donation included in price

* Note on shipping - I can't currently access it on the blurb site. The €6 indicated is what I was personally charged on my 2009 hardcover imagewrap book.

Blurb have had a discount, if memory serves me correctly of 10% on bulk orders.

Possible purchase scenario

So a scenario based on the most common purchase assuming the best on offer deal is purchased;

Shakespeare A4 50-150 Books - €30.34 (incl €2.00 shipping)
vs
Blurb Bulk Order - 10x8 Hardcover, ImageWrap EUR €41,95 + €6 shipping = €47,95 less 10% = €43.16

The Shakespeare option here is for the larger size of book.

For this to work, we need to strip it down to a single option and do bulk ordering, but we have time to get this organised.

The Shakespeare option will be at lower cost than the most basic option from Blurb.

The above is only a scenario to get the thought process moving and discussion going.

Thanks for adding me. Actually last year and the year before, I found coupon online for Blurb that got individual orders a fair amount off shipping price. There will be probably some floating around when it comes to ordering.

There really aren't any, other than being a "member" of Boards.ie and preferably the photography forum. You don't need to be an active user - lurkers are more than welcome to submit their images.

I don't think a theme have been decided for this edition so basically whatever you pick yourself will do!

Hi guys,

Please note a change to the Submission Requirements in the Guidelines Thread

The submission requirements have changed in order to comply with the software Shakespeare use. I understand that it would not usually be best practice to submit RGB files for print but the software manages this process at the pre-press stage so we don't need to do it first.
