    Hey

I used my ski gear to climb mount kilimanjaro and now everything is filthy. Any idea where I could get them cleaned? or how? I assume a washing machine is bad?

I wash my gear in the washing machine, using a special liquid wash bought in an outdoor shop for example http://www.nikwax.com/en-gb/index.php , I also use a post wash spray that gives a layer of protection.

engrish? Once you wash it even if you use Nixwax or similar you are going to lose some of hte waterproofing as washing machines tend to tear at fibres.

Hand wash using Nixwax and their afterspray is the best way to do it. You have to follow the instructions exactly for it to work fully.

Its a pain in the ass but its the same for every company and if you come up with a material that is washable, waterproof and stays that way you will be a wealthy man
