Am I the only one who's getting tired of this Cowen bashing? The way I see it is, he was given, and took a position nobody else wanted in this country. And come election time nobody's going to really want it either.

Embarrassed as an Irishman, Yes, bored, not at all. The man knows he is not wanted by the people to lead the country yet he is clinging to personal and party power. Any form of pressure that will lead to an election to get these buffoons out is fair game by me.

This is the man who was just waiting in the wings for Bertie to step down. He wasn't doing us any favours by taking the position, he was hungry for power.

If you remember at the time the referendum on the Lisbon treaty was looming and people didn't have enough information about it to make an informed vote. What did Cowen do ? Instead of concentrating on that he did his lap of honour around the country as FF's new leader, being seen having a pint in various pubs and shaking hands with his adoring public. Then he was surprised when the Treaty wasn't passed and the country was forced, at great cost to have another referendum.

We should have known then that this man was going to put party and local politics before the good of the country. and imo the more he gets bashed the better. He needs to go before he does any more damage to the already gutter image of our country.

Not how you start a discussion thread. Next time, include some comment/opinion of your own, and, in the case of a video, give a short description of the video's content.
