[Help] Compaq built in Microphone not working

    I've done the usual googling around to no avail. The Yahoo answers are useless and Compaq's website just suggests using Windows Help which has no help for built in microphone issues.

    Basically my built in mic ain't working. I don't know if it's because it's not installed at all or not installed correctly or just because it's broken but could anyone help? Or send me the right direction of where to look for answers please?

    It's a Compaq Presario V6000 laptop; Product Number: RP597EA#ABU
