Anyone know where I can get one of these? Been looking for one for a few months without any luck. Dont seem to be available anywhere...

Ideally, even a replacment motor would suffice - anyone had to replace one themselves?

    Thanks in advance.:)

Do you have a picture of the motor ? I know Taniya racing motors work in a lot of the box mags but I have not worked on the a&k box mag so can not be 100%

Here's the pic of the motor.

    AKM60magmotor.jpg

    It's approx 15mm by 20mm by 30mm long (35mm inc shaft).

    There's no markings on it.

I've no idea of the torque or rpm:confused: - just that it's dead as a dodo.:(
    Any suggestions welcome.
    Thanks.:)

Looks like it could do the trick Paul.:D:D

My only worry is the voltage: 1.5 to 3V which might be too low. The mag runs off the AEG battery - I've not examined to see if the voltage feed is reduced for the mag. I'll pick up a couple tommorow and give them a go.
Might stick a meter across the feed to see what voltage is hitting it.

Thanks and see ya tomorrow evening.
    Aido.

It should do the job, there the same motors used in car door locks, that run off 9.5 volts

Got one of the motors in Maplins. Stuck it in and the mag lives again.
I dont know how long it might last but it's an easy fix and easy to get a replacment now. (Thanks Paul)
The shaft was a bit longer than the mag one but not a problem. Fit perfect otherwise.

Got a chance at last to chrono it but it was only firing at 170fps.
Changed the hopup for a G&G one and did the nub mod, looked at the spring which was previously cut badly and resulted in the spring end having eaten into the spring guide...
put in a proper spring and good bearing spring guide.
Also changed the piston and gearset while I was at it.
Gonna give it a blast tomorrow to see how it goes...

Anyone know where to get nozzles or spare gearboxes for such a beast? (Hens teeth it would seem)
    :)

sorry forgot to post again in this thread, i replaced mine with a tamya 4WD motor, you can get a number of different models much like the motors in airsoft ( torque/speed/balance etc etc )

howya defenderdude , what happens is the bush heads in the motor heat up and form a ash residue witch block the bush heads from connecting, so wat you do is, take the back of the motor out were the wires connect , and clean the connecter heads and give them a small pinch and slide it back in , and bobs ur uncle, for future reference . hope tis helps . if any probs pm me in the future.
