Eircom cancellation

    Hi All,

    Not sure if this is the right place for this...?

    Anyway, it's just a quick one - I recently moved and thought eircom were the only ones in my building to provide internet.

    So after waiting 2 weeks for them to bring the phone, nearly a month later I'm still waiting for them to bring the modem for the internet - only to be told that Eircom doesn't provide for this area, then being cut off and then being told by a different operator that it was the building that happened to be down.

    I want out of this "contract" asap, before I have any more hassles with them in the future.

    Is there a period of time after the beginning of the contract that you can opt out or something similar to allow for an easy and cheap cancellation?
