I have read in a few places about how much it is, but have got no definite answer. I will be using it mainly for browsing for a few hours per day and a good bit on skype with a video call for one or two hours 5 nights a week.

I have read it depends on the quality of the webcam, well mine is Microsoft Lifecam vx-1000, if that's the case...

    Does anyone know?

I asked the guy in my college and he just said yess it will be fine, 10GB is loads unless your downloading movies upon movies....

    Can anyone explain?? Please..

ALL HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED :D

10gig is 10gig. No one can tell you how long that will last you, as everyone's usage is individual.

I used it for 115 hours last month and used up 8.6gb of my 10gb allowance, mainly browsing and youtube, you can set yourself limiters to keep yourself with the 10gb limit, one of the mobile broadband suppliers has a handy chart to show expected use and how many gb you would need

    Folks,

When do you get billed the 10 euro per month for this. Is it towards the end of the month they withdraw the amount via direct debit?

    The billing times vary.

The agent in the store should be able to give you an approximate date by looking at your billing cycle date.

hey i use the student broadband, as was said above 10gb is 10gb so it can be used up fairly fast especially if your using skype alot!! and be warned the charges if you go over the 10gb are unreal, i got a bill for 75e for the first month because i went over by 1.4gb  so be carefull
but its easy enough to keep check on it through o2.ie, and for 10e a month you cant go wrong!!

Yes, and a massive effect at that. If you torrent on a 10GB cap, you're pretty much going to blitz that cap in no time.

The reason for that ^^^^^ is because a torrent uploads and downloads at the same time. So if a torrent is 700MB you can expect it to use at lot more data than this.
