    I bought a refurb Archos Av500 2 years ago, the device is still working but has many flaws it's because of the design of it not the refurb conditions. It freezes when on charge and the charging pin moves, sucks the battery flat when not in use, picky on video formats, etc. So I've learnt how to live with them but I steer clear from any Archos products. They might have improved since that. God knows only...
    I'd say do some review search on this tablet before you intend to buy it.

    The Home Tablet range are pretty crappy.

    They arent 'real' Archos media players (whatever that means :pac:), its a generic Android Tablet made by Rockchip and Archos have just put a case around it and their name on it. Actually even in that Amazon link there is another RK2808 based tablet and I guarantee the internals are 90% identical.

    The Android implementation is pretty poor, and it is maintained by Rockchip who are notorious for bringing out new chipsets every few months and neglecting the old ones. I would avoid it.
