According to the Social Welfare website:

    IF YOU:
    • reside in Ireland
    • have worked in Ireland
    • have not yet reached age 65, but have reached the age of eligibility for EU Pension in another EEA country you have worked in, and from which you now wish to claim an EU pension
You should claim your EU pension from another EEA country through the Department of Social and Family Affairs, Social Welfare Services, Sligo.
IMPORTANT - You can only use form EUP 65 for this, which you can download from this website.
Alternatively, this form can be obtained by texting FORM EUP65, followed by your name and address, to 51909. (standard text rates apply)

Where an application is received without a completed EUP 65 form, it will be returned to the sender.
(EXCEPTION: if you will reach 65 years of age within the next 3 months, you should use form SPT/SPC1 instead).

As your mother has reached the age of eligibility for a UK pension (60 for women) and she's not within 3 months of her 65th birthday, she should get that EUP65 form, and send it to:

    State Pension (Contributory) Section
    Social Welfare Services
    Department of Social Protection
    College Road
    Sligo

My father-in-law worked on the buses in London for about 5 years, and he now gets a small pension from there in addition to his full Irish pension.
