    Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows. My Aer Lingus flight from Nice, France to Dublin was cancelled on Thursday and rescheduled for Friday last week due to air traffic strike. I had to book a hotel room and pay for meals Thursday, is there any way to claim from them the expense of this back? It also took them 2 hours to board all the passengers ( not their fault really - due to the airport) and all they gave us was a FREE glass of water each. Just curious, as I remember something similar around the time of the ash cloud.

    Thanks

Yes,you are entitled to compensation -so claim for the extra night in the hotel.

At least you got an a330 home with working avod!
We were on that friday flight too in row three with fully flat bed seats.
I put mine flat and watched faulty towers.
    Very relaxing

Does any one have or know of the telephone number of Customer Care/Relations for Air Lingus. I was due to fly out at just after 3pm on Thursday last but we were delayed by 9 1/2 hours. We were told that were would fly at 5pm them 8pm the ????? Therefore I missed my connection and to stay in a hotel that night as it was after midnight. If I were to get a taxi, it would have cost me 150. Can anyone help.

There's no number, you have to write to them or send a fax, details here:

Thanks for you reply. I went to their web site found their Dublin number and called them last night. I got an e-mail addy and am now e-mailing them @ ccc@aerlingus.ie. I will also write ( hard copy as well as phone my predicament. I along with other lost a day. I can't see why the 6-15pm went out on time. We were give a £7 voucher to cover the time and were told that ALL would be sorted out when we got to Cork. Needless to say their was no one there to sort this. I wont go further
