How many trips a year does this guy get a year. If he is not off skiing he is in Florida like this morning.

Now dont get me wrong but I think it is by far the best radio program on at breakfast time but I would assume that with the general population stuck in the rat race this is bad radio, especially for a freezing Monday morning. It would be different if it was a visual medium but he might as well be in a cupboard and describing a catalogue picture.

Come back home ya big dope, who cares!!! :D

It's not funded by you or me the licence paying public. Personally I have a far greater problem with the salary of say, Marion Finucane, who does in no way justify her bloated wage for the amount of air time she has now.

The time difference with Florida must be a bit of a killer

funnily enough I was thinking the same thing myself this morning. He could be anwhere for all the difference it makes!
But the time must be a killer alright. If he has a 7 am start here its 2am in Florida. I can't see that much enjoyment is got from sucha short trip - with jet lag and broadcasting in the middle of the night it must be a pain.

He said at one stage during the programme today that it was 2.45am in Florida.....Doesn't sound like much fun.....

As Ray D'arcy said this morning at the sart of his show "What do you do in Florida at 4 am?"

Fair play to Ian Dempsey though for someone broadcasting in the middle of the night he seems full of life.

He was on "The Apprentice - Youre Fired" on TV3 late last night, how did he manage to get to Florida so quickly?

Trips like this are paid for by companies who promote holidays in Florida. You send big audience radio shows to promote the area and generate interest. Same with the ski trips, the promoters pay top dollar for air time.'

Do blame poor Iano, it's part of the job ;)
