Hey, congrats on the new job!! You can work up to four days a week and still claim casual jobseekers benifit/allowance. As long as you do not work at least three days a week (Monday to Saturday).

    See here

    Part-time or casual work

If you get part-time or casual work (up to and including 3 days per week), you may still be paid a proportion of your Jobseeker's Allowance. However, you must show that you are trying to get full-time employment.

Citizenadvice.ie have all the info, you can work up to 3 days a week + sunday, and the dole pay you for 3.

    (dole is only 6 days)
So if you are getting €196 a week, now you will get APPROX €98 off dole.

Ya, the system does not count Sunday as a working day, so you can work it if you like. You are judged on your Monday-Saturday employment status. So you must be unemployed for at least three out of the six days. So you can work three days out of the Monday-Saturday + Sunday, and you will still recieve jobseekers benifit/allowance for the three days you did not work.

    €109.80 dole divided by 6 days = €18.30 dole a day.

    So pretend you work 3 days and claim for 3. €18.30 x 3 = €54.90 dole + ? wages.

Your welcome. Every week you will have to fill out a card and tick which days you worked last week, sign it and drop it into a box at the dole office. Berty was saying that you will have to prove that you are searching for full-time employment; but you wont need to worry about that as full-time job vacancies are a thing of the past!!

Editing all your posts is one sure fire way of ruining a thread, and possibly getting you banned for acting the muppet. I'd suggest you don't do that again. You either want to get involved in this community, or you don't.
