Thanks a million for the websites, it has helped in my search alot!
I know absolutely nothing about buying a car, and for alot of you this is probably a stupid question, but I am wondering say if I bought a car with a KE reg, could I re reg it with a Galway registration for example? If so, how much might it cost?

    Thanks again!

Nope, if you want a car with a C reg, buy a car with a C reg :p

What about exporting car abroad, and then brining it back, and registering again this time in Galway to get G reg.

Doesn't work that way IIRC - when it comes back it gets its old reg, as it's already been registered here once - it can't be registered a 2nd time, and a plate is already assigned to it...

    Only applies to new imports

Mind most of the 'private' listings will still be dealers.
