Does God have a sense of humour?

I'm a christian and I've always been wary of the religious types who don't have a sense of humour. To me, humour and music are two of God's great unifying gifts. They appeal to what we are at our very souls. Sometimes language divides us and yet laughter is truly infectious.

Yet, somehow, it always seems to be the truly earnest people who end up heading our religions, be that religion Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, Atheism, Hinduism, Buddhism etc.

So what do you think? Hellfire and Brimstone?

Me, I'm with P.J. O'Rourke, " Earnestness is just stupidity that's been to college"
