    Hi,
    I,m looking for some advice.
Its my first year self-employed. My husband is a paye employee but his income is so low that he doesn't pay any tax.
I was just wondering if I can use his paye tax credits or is it just the personal tax credits I can transfer to me?
    Thanks in advance.

PAYE credit can only be used against PAYE income, and only to the extent there is enough income. So, if your husband cannot use the full allowance against his PAYE income, unfortunately you cannot use it against your self employed income.

Incidentally, should you happen to pick up a small amount of PAYE income yourself, it would effectively be tax free up to the amount of the PAYE credit you would then be entitled to.

You cant transfer the paye tax credit between spouses.
However when you are completing your tax return in October, assuming you are jointly assessed - married couple, you will be able to realize more of your husbands credits depending on both your income amounts.
You can't transfer a paye credit, it's only applied to PAYE workerrs not self employed.
