Some people on here seem to wrongly be of the opinion that the Public Sector is the same thing as the Trade Unions.

Is it a common misconception or are people being mischevious.

The Trade Unions are one entity and the Public Service-Public Servants are a different entity.

Am I wrong in the need to make a thread to highlight the distinction.

You may be referring to my post a few minutes ago. I did make the distinction, I just used the short hand "unions" for "public sector unions" about half the time I referenced them. I'm lazy! :)

(I do think most people make the distinction (which is important), by the way.)

No Eliot, it keeps coming up, not you in partic.

I just find it confusing, do people know what they´re talking about if they don´t know-can´t be arsed to make the distinction. This is not a comment on your post, just on the issue overall.

    I feel it needs clarity.
