Hi there. Just chancing my arm that someone might have a fix for my dishwasher problem. I have Powerpint slimline intergrated dishwasher that appears to take in water and drain but after a few seconds it stops and no water seems to be pumped into the machine as it's dry inside when I open the door. Probably a faulty pump but hoping it might be someting simple. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

Has this only happened once or has it been doing it a while

thats a generic model and what i have found with them is that the seals leak after a while -water starts to come in but leaks into the catch tray and activates a float switch so the water stops coming in and the pump kicks in to get the water out of the machine to stop flooding

cheaper to replace same machine (different name) is 250 euros in powercity

What machine is the same knighted under a different name? Powerpoint products are generally useless.

45cm powerpoint are the same machine as some beko's belling ,universal ,series ,thor and most of the cheaper brands - usually come with blue packing foam inside -they are all a generic chinese model most start with the prefix dw but that is changing now

wouldnt have one in my house tbh

It's been like this for the past 2 weeks. It starts by pumping water out, then takes in water but it looks like it stops just as it's about to start the wash cycle. When it stops there is a humming noise. If I leave it for a few minutes, it does the same again (water out and then in). I know powerpoint is a cheap generic Chinese model so I will probably have to replace it. Thanks for your replies.

Is it just the 45cm integrated or integrated and free standing models?

sorry thought it was happening the other way round -that could be the capacitor gone on the motor

I'm nearly sure Candy can be fired into the same group. They look a bit too familiar to other Chinese stuff.

I have the Powerpoint TW18 version, and the Timer jamed and kept tripping the fuse.

Unplugged the Timer so I could get the model etc of the timer..only trouble is I have forgotten how the plugs go..

There are 2 connectors, Green and White. and the Timer has A & B marked onto it.. anyone any ideas.

Or if you have one of these, do you mind unscrewing the 8 screws inside the door and have a look for me...

    Thanks a LOT, in advance

And the winner is Knighted 1. Many thanks as it was the capacitor, as you suggested. €10 for a new one and the machine is as good as new. I was about to get a new machine. Thanks again:):):):):)
