I hate wearing waterproof overtrousers and when I saw that Ping did a pair of trousers you wore as normal and yet were waterproof (Ping Torsion) I was delighted but they have proved impossible to get (including talking to Ping Rep in Ireland).
So does anyone have any recommendations for waterproof trousers?

Sounds mad I know, but I got some snowboarding pants in Lidl last year €20. They are fantastic, keep you dry and warm just a bit noisy but no more than some waterproof pull ups. Keep an eye out for their offers, usually comes up end Oct/beg Nov

I have a couple of pairs of Maine trousers that I got in Debenhams. They are waterproof up to a point. I wouldn't wear them if it was a constant downpour but if it's only showers they are ideal because the water just runs off of them. I'd say I've only worn the wets once or twice this year.

have to agree here , I have a pair of pro quip trousers too , they are lined with a soft material so they can be worn without trousers underneath .

Have them 3 yrs and they are as still as waterproof as day 1 .

I have a pair of Ping Ionic that do exactly this. I wear them all the time and no need for any other waterproofs. I got them about 3 years ago, I've been looking for another pair lately but almost impossible to find. There are a few on ebay but I can't get my size.

I got a pair of Golfino waterproof trousers at their shop in Kildare Village Outlets. Excellent trousers, completely waterproof and they were reduced from €150 to €70.

It's hit and miss there as most of the stock is for women! Very little men's stuff.

In the winter I usually wear thermal longjohns with overtrouser water proofs and find this a good option (Except when it comes to changing in the locker room:o )

    why

any way galvin green is still probably hard to beat if you have to go out in the rain

if your the type as i am who wear thermals if its cold or shorts inside waterproofs as soon as the ground softens a bit (as i carry the bag and also dont see the point in ruining trouser ends in trhe muck),anything from the recognised brands like nike, adidas or sunice under the €50-60 would do

I have the exact same pair and they are super. They're warm enough for the winter aswell.
