I've backed Youmzain eachway at 33/1 to win the Arc. He's now around 16/1. He's been second the last 3years running to 3 superstars. I don't think there's a horse of the standard of the last 3 winners in the race.
    Worth a punt imo

33/1 yes but I wouldn't be backing him win only. Three times is enough but you got a decent price and I'd be happy with 33/1 ew at this stage. Quater or a fifth the odds?

Quarter of the odds. Backed it with an on course bookie i normally back with on football matches. At the time i backed it Paddy Power had him priced at 25/1 which i still think was value. If he runs to the same standard he did last year he'll be in the frame i think

    Link to last years race.
Notice the ground Youmzain makes up in the final strides.
There is no Sea the stars in this years race. Youmzain also met traffic trouble and still got home.
I really think he'll have one last big payday before retirement

Sure he has a chance of going well in the race, but why back him to do something he has rarely been able to do before, you know....win.

While i am a big fan of your art please don't contribute with mis information. Youmzain has won at least 6 races including 2 Group1 races.
Racing is all about opinions but when your opinion is based on non facts there's no point in you contributing.

Thank you for that little beauty ''Amiable'', seemingly the Jessica Fletcher of forum policing.
Try not to take this one as personally as you seem to have taken my previous post.

Youmzain has won 6 of his 31 races to date (19.35% SR).
He has contested 22 Group 1 races of which he has won 2 (9.1% SR)
He has not won a race of any description in over 2 years (29 June 2008)
He has never won a race by more than 1 length and has been placed 11 times (ran either 2nd in 8 runner races or 3rd in 8+ runner races) (35% of the time)

What part of ''wins rarely'', in the context of Group 1 racing did you find inaccurate?

The thread didn't contain anything that hasn't been posted on numerous occasions on other forums elsewhere. Youmzain has generally been identified as a 'nearly' horse by the public, which is partly why he will be priced up as such much of the time.

Where was winning Group 1 races in your original post?
Horses for courses.... How many times has he won or been placed at Longchamp?
Did i quote 33/1 eachway? I think so and if he runs to form on course i'll show a nice profit but still you may be into gambling for the sport of it and the fun.
Even if he nearly does it again i'll be please if he's placed.
Still you were just itching to shoot someone down on their opinion.
Forgive me but does he need to win for me to show a profit as i have done from backing him the last 3 years. Go easy now Pablo or should i call you Greetings? Rarely does it

You seem to have taken this all very personally Amiable.

I have no interest in you, or your life story about getting matched at 33/1. Good luck to you with it, but it is irrelevant.

My initial post acknowledged Youmzains possible place chances and questioned his win chances. I was accused of mis-information, which I have shown to be BS.

However, you feel I only bring up the more miss than hit record in Group 1's to suit ? The Arc is the top Group 1 turf race on the planet, its more than reasonableto look at the horses G1 form when assessing his merits in the race, especially when the sample size is so large. I also pointed out his poor record of showing a winning attitude in general, which you seem to have ignored

Keep it down people, you'll wake everyone up.

Amiable, best of luck with the bet, he's not without a chance in my opinion. Also, please don't make wild accusations about posters.

Pablo, hope you stick around, you seem like a very interesting character and we could do with more of them here! :)
