I'd go with the Samsung it's supposed to be a cracker, it's well worth the money there asking.

I have a Samsung F1, 1TB running 24/7 for the last two years, with no problems to report. Very fast and reliable drive. When I replace it will be for another one just with larger capacity.

Great price it has to be said. Was tempted till I read the spec. Ebuyer site says:
"While other 2TB drives split their collection of bytes over four 500GB platters, Samsung's Spinpoint EcoGreen HD204UI F4 features three 667GB disks. This means the new platters boast the world's highest areal density at the moment.
The 3.5-inch F4 is intended to replace Samsung's four-platter F3 drive, and has otherwise similar specs. The drive is bolstered by a 32MB buffer, and the platters spin at 5400rpm, rather than the 7200rpm rotational speed of some other 2TB desktop drives"

Neither of these "features" is an advantage IMHO - the denser the data is stored the more likely something is going to go wrong. Higher density might make data access faster - but when the spin speed is dropped to 5400 - well - it won't!

I'm no expert on these things so if someone else has a different opinion I;ll eat my words - and might buy it! It IS a great price.

I have 2 and they're mighty quick. Quiet as a mouse too.

There might be an issue with XP with the Amazon Western Digital drive - but win7 should be able use it straight away.
