    hi

i have been going to the gym the last 3 months nearly every day,i am 5'11'' and weigh 82kgs. my goal is to build muscle but to not gain weight/fat...the muscle is there now but i feel like i could slim/tone down...

my gym workout consists of heavy weights during the week and heavy cardio at the end of each week

i am currently using TMU whey protein once in the morning and once post workout = approx 80g total per day and was wondering am i taking the right supplement for my goal?i have been considering getting some acai berry from holland and barrett to keep weight down...are these worthwhile?

at the moment i have noticed myself after building alot more muscle on my upper body but id like a flatter chest and more defined abs(i feel like my abs are covered in a 1'' coat of fat:p)

please help a newbie to supplements

I'm by no means the expert here, but you will only get a solid good answer when you post the following information:

Your daily food and liquid consumption - everything that passes your lips and when.

Your full gym routine - lifts in detail, cardio in detail.

I'm similar to you but may have a little less trimming to do.

Protein shakes are supplements, sort your actual diet before worrying about supplementing it.

If the 1" ab fold is correct, don't want to discourage you, but you have some work to do ;). Mostly losing that fat while keeping the muscle.

I've written a more detailed post on achieving exactly that:
