    I have been following a thread over on Politics.ie which I find absolutly astounding... if everyone isn't too puch drunk from all the Anglo headlines, read this article...its the Daddy of them all imo

    "..The sale of Anglo’s Austrian business was completed on December 19, 2008, the day after FitzPatrick resigned as chairman after his dodgy loan dealing had been uncovered.

    ..the Valartis annual report reveals that the Austrian operation manages about 1.6 billion Swiss francs (€1.25 billion) for about 4,000 private banking clients.

    Those clients can now remain very private indeed, far away from the scrutiny of the Irish state which stepped in and nationalised Anglo Irish Bank in January 2009 in the wake of revelations about FitzPatrick concealing large loans from his shareholders."

    RTE mentioned before that only 20% of Anglo's deposits are from Irish citizens

    so yea go figure why is the irish state being dragged down for the benefit of people who dont live here...

    then why the hell haven't the papers picked up on this mega scandal? Instead, the indo tries to give the impression that justice is being served by headlines such as 'Seanie owes his wife €40,000 and he only has €188 per month to live on'
    .......the papers and the mainstream media are gagged in Ireland, its almost as bad as the USA.

    The second question is, why are people still paying their mortgages in Ireland when the likes of this has been disclosed? .... no demonstrations, riots, public disorder

    what has gone on in Anglo Irish Bank here, is akin to government sanctioned embezzlement.... why is no one quizzing the government? serious answers are needed here, before Ireland is turned into the new Albania, for its looking seriously like that now....

    * edit: I just saw a copy of the Independant with Seanie Fitz smiling on the front, and the headline, 'Seanie smiles on way to court and his wife worth €3 million' ....... apologies, kudos to the Indo. But seriously guys, theres something WAY wrong with this

    do they think that we are f**king fools? do they think that we swallow such a load of boll ix.... the papers and the mainstream media are gagged in Ireland, its almost as bad as the USA.
