A lawyer story

The firm of Anderson and Bailey had broken up in deeply acrimonious and convoluted circumstances. Mr Anderson consulted his lawyer Mr Phunfer about what to do next.

Mr Phunfer said, "Let's hear the details leading up to the break-up of your firm."

And Mr Anderson did just that, sparing no detail and venting each and every grievance. At the end Mr Anderson said, "So, do you think I could successfully sue Mr Bailey and get the money he owes me?"

"I'm sure of it," said the lawyer. "I've rarely heard such an open-and-shut case."

    "Damn!" muttered Mr Anderson.

    "What's wrong?" asked the lawyer.

"I told you Mr Bailey's side of the story."
