taylor phinney has left radioshack to join bmc racing.i read in a magazine that he said he saw no future with a team that will only be going for one more season.if this is true that was fairly short lived for a team

i'm suprised it made it to next season
feel sorry for the riders who followed lance

saw them at the tour de l'ain htc and caisse had half length buses all the french teams had there full team buses, radioshack had 2 team cars and a camper van with US Postal stickers on it mind they still won the race with zubeldia

didnt smack of a huge investment in a european team

In fairness, their current sponsorship deal only lasted till next year. This is normal for pro teams. Sponsorship is not indefinite, it runs for a number of years after which the team has to renew with the current sponsor or find a new one.

Having said that, I don't think Radioshack will be around for long.

I thought Lance would have set this up as the all conquering team that would beat everyone. That he would get massive sponsorship and get a lot of the top riders, that this team would be around for a number of years!

Radioshack seemed like an odd entity from Day 1, it seemed a little top heavy with ageing riders - Lance, Horner, Levi, Kloden, Zubelida etc which had at most one or two years left in them and very promising young riders Impey, Phinney, and Brajkovic with Phinney now gone (and of all the teams he was supposed to go to, he's gone to the 2nd worse) - I think if Lance hadn't gotten into hot water he was going to try develop a robot squad to portray his legacy. One wonders what Johan's plan is now ....
