Anyone happen to be familiar with what time Argos shut in the evenings?

most shops would close at 6/7 on on weekdays... Open till 9 tomorrow and friday! Why not call them?!

Clicking through the 'Contact Us' links on argos.ie brings you to: http://www.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ArgosStaticPageSecondLevel?langId=-1&storeId=30001&includeName=ContactUs.htm#contact - which has the UK number. I was hoping the opening hours would've been mentioned on the store locator page.

Well, 5 months later and the problem is the same - I've been looking for those opening hours recently.
You have to go to argos.ie, "contact us" section, being transferred to argos.co.uk, call UK store locator, find out that the code for the shop is not in UK, get the number for IE and call them.
At least the next person can skip all those steps. And obviously phone numbers from goldenpages don't work.

Liffey Valley ones are here:

Mon-Tue 9am – 6.30pm
Wed-Fri 9am – 9pm
Sat 9am – 6pm
Sun 10am – 6pm

If it's in a shopping centre a good thing to try is that centre's website.

8.30 -7.00 Mon & tues.
8.30 - 8.00. Wed & Thursday
8.30 - 9.00 Friday.
8.30 - 6.00 Saturday
10.00 - 6.00 Sunday.

Ya I just checked there(using 012161616 and option 3 then the store code and the hash button)
I as only interested in mon to fri but it does seem all stores are different.
eg Cork Mahon mon to fri is 9am to 9pm, and cork retail(blackpool) is mon to wed 8.30am to 6pm and 9am to 9pm thurs and fri.

They should have this on their site, would make things easier

Was on the walk home and needed to tip into argos, so popped out the phone, found this thread, found the galway store code (547), used the 012161616 number, 3, 547, #.

Reads out the times, then used my magnificent memory to comment back here on boards the days and times.... all on my HTC Hero, awesome phone.

I just found this thread lookign for them too! Still no word on their website, thanks for the phone number, worked a treat. Seems like I missed out on the limerick store opening by over an hr lol

Was in the shop there last week, forgot to post the opening hours though! Its 9-6 Mon-Wed and Sat+Sun, then late opening on Thurs and Fri (but can't remember how late sorry!) Think its till 8 but couldn't be sure, will be passing there on Friday so will check then!

I'll remember to jot the times down next time I'm in.

Can I just add that I absolutely HATE having to ring up Computer or Sports shops grrrr makes me so mad! No-one in a shop answers a phone anymore. It all goes through to 1 central phone-number where nobody seems to know anything. If you do manage to get put through to the exact shop or branch you need, - their phone just endlessly rings out grrrrrrrr!! Waste of a phone-call .....

Actually I find the Argos phone service very good ..... Plus you can check Opening Times on there.

Just wanted to say thank you very much for posting the opening hours.
I also got here by way of google.
It seems Argos bussiness model is run by complete and utter morons its almost frustrating enough experiencing the stupidity of this bussiness that i would boycotte them.Twats!
Honestly who runs a bussiness and doesnt tell a massive portion of potential customers when they open in this day and age.
