When you go off with a bang thanks to the X factor every Tom, Dick and Harry will want to get his mitts on you to make any money he can.

That is true. Just shows how fake the whole industry is. There are loads of way better looking girls out there who are under 5'7" but do they get a look in? Not a chance.

She's not a model in the traditional sense. She's a singer and reality tv star therefore she has got a lot of female fans which is why she is doing modelling towards them.

+1. Modelling isn't her core job, she's not a model. Being the face of a brand or doing a shoot for a brand/store is capitalising on her celebrity and her fan base - it doesn't make her a model. She's not likely to be doing runway for Chanel any time soon.

There's something really attractive about her IMO.
Fair play to her for making hay while the sun shines.

I think people are getting the wrong message here.. I wasn't giving out about it, I was merely asking a question.

I totally get that she's a celebrity etc and can make people a lot of money but what confused the hell out of me was when I read quotes that she said, including "To be an actual fashion model is every girl's dream and I'm really thrilled about it"..

Sounds from that like she's expecting to be taking to the catwalk...

Models in editorial fashion photoshoots don't have to have the height of those in high fashion or catwalk.

Catwalk models don't nessicarily do editorial work, editorial models don't nessicarily do catwalk.

There's quite a few models around the 5'4 mark.

Yeah but she was signed to IMG Models. They won't offer contracts to any 'non celeb' under 5'7".

She is 5'4', because of her celebrity status she will be offered work immediately, Although she wont work in runway modelling where the height requirement is strict.
The vast majority of female celebrities are involved in some form of commercial modelling.

They're there to make money by booking models - 'non celebs' over 5'7 bring it in for them, celebs at whatever height bring it in for them. I'm sure if they right face came along, they'd bring them in too.

Exactly, whether it's beauty, editorial, commercial or promotional, etc, there's loads more to modeling than the catwalk.
