    Hi all

    Have a question.

A few years ago had a car stolen, informed the police and that, the car was eventually recovered after been involved in an incident with the police. Anyway insurance paid up and all, so all was forgotten as it happened over 5 years ago.

Recently received a letter from a different insurance company, saying that they are sending debt collectors to collect money from the person who had stolen the car, (well I assume it’s the person who stole it).

Don’t have a clue why I was sent this, rang them and they wouldn’t really tell me a lot.

Anybody every heard anything like this, the letter has a name of the person claiming and who they are claiming from, but don’t know why I was sent it.

I had assumed this was all over, just with the lack of information, I was worried what its got to do with me, as the sum of money been claimed is large.

    Regards

You may be required for court to say you did not give the person permission to take your car.
