Some Moon shots I took from last night using my Celestron NexStar 4SE.

This was taken through the 25mm eyepiece using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10:

These next three were taken with a Celestron NexImage CCD and the images processed using RegiStax 5.1.

    Brilliant pics here!,
can anybody find and post 'the sea of tranquility' through their scopes?
i love amateur pics and realise how much effort you's must go to.

    Thanks!

I was bored yesterday so I decided to do some "Blue Peter" crafting:

    - One €5 webcam from Argos
    - 35mm film canister
    - A few screws

Placed the finished camera into the eyepiece holder on my Celestron Astromaster 130 and below is the result, not bad considering it was cloudy :D

Here's one I took last night - Haven't really figured out registax properly for the moon. Doesn't come out anywhere near as sharp as it is in the eyepiece.

Im curious as to how this shots were taken, i have an astromaster 114eq and can get the same quality view of the moon through it, i tried putting my iphone to the eyepiece to get a picture but it was poor quality, i then tried using a 2+ year old SLR but only managed a slightly better quality photo, and all these photos are marvelous!

In my case I had my digital camera to the eyepiece for some pictures and a webcam inserted in the eyepiece holder for the others I took.
