Got a call this afternoon while I was opening drains on my farm. Hen taken night before last, could I take a look when I'm able too. Sure, just depends on the weather.

Checked the provincial forecast on Met Eireann when I got home, looked good so I got all my bits and pieces together and headed off in the car.

Checked backpack and lamp, all good, screw on mod, fill magazine, bolt in, 'pod legs out, and away I go.

Walk over the first hillock, full moon out, fox sitting looking at me right where I expected him. Crouch down, clip on lamp quietly, always keeping it pointing in foxys direction. Lay down, crosshairs on chest, squeeze, fox falls over :)

Rocket science this isn't. Dog fox, haven't a clue to the range, close enough to not bother ranging it.

Necessity was the Mother of invention. I use the red filter myself and i never suffered with problems with Glare.

I need to do the connectors though as she is pis*ing me off at the mo. cutting in and out. I need to take apart, resolder and apply some heat shrink

    FYP :D

Keep meaning to skin a good example, the four legged variety I mean - no Chianti or Fava beans in this house. Not got around to it yet, I'm just not set up properly for the drying process.
